CCAC
Just this past month we participated in the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada's PSA contest. We took home an honorable mention after being well met with excellent competition. Congratulations are in order for the winner, Alex Ducev, for his project entitiled, "Mirrors".

Hello all. I wanted to take the opportunity and time to thank everyone who helped support my (Wes) and Stefani Byrd's live performance of, You Sound Funny When You Smile, Oct. 2nd at Castleberry Hill. Echo-1 Video Contest
Here's how this works. Echo-1 is going to pick their top favorite videos and post them to their website by September 10. The link for that will be: http://www.myspace.com/Echo1USA Between September 10th and September 30th, send people to this site to view and vote for the video. Based on votes by the viewing audience Echo1 will mail out the grand prize so the more we get, the closer to winning we'll be.
Second and Third places will be determined by Echo1 but let's get all the views we can. Thanks to everyone who helped out and everyone else for their support. I'll send an update as soon as the videos are available on Echo1's MySpace account.

Wrapped on Echo-1
Hey all. We just wrapped the Echo-1 Commercial this past Sunday. The footage looks beautiful and our rough cut is up. I'll be posting a link before too long so's you can go and vote for it. If we win, we'll have a victory video to post showing off one of our new toys.

We're definitely up to something...
Sometimes people ask me, "What are you guys up to? I don't see anything new."
Well thanks, that's really nice of you to ask:
1. 3rd Shift, we're still working onit.
2. Kumité. Short project that's in the works helmed by Mr. Chris Escobar.
3. We're currently wrapping our heads around a video contest for the airsoft company, Echo-1.
4. There are talks in the works right now for a possible television debut. Nothing public, yet. Keep your eyes peeled.
And there are several other side projects currently occupying each member of the crew which will be announced once they are completed!

The Blind Side
Short update. Wes is an electrician for the film, The Blind Side, being shot here in Atlanta. Starring Tim McGraw, Sandra Bulloch, and Cathy Bates. It's sure to be fun.

Wrap on Beast of Burden- B.O.B.
We wrapped BOB this past Sunday and it was certainly an experience to remember. We kicked five out of five butts and we're beginning post this week. Look for it soon!

Beast of Burden
Recently, Sam Carter, with Stone Carter Media, has Scratched Lens to take part in the production of a short children's film entitled, Beast of Burden. In our story a monster is fired by the young boy he's terrorized nightly since early childhood. Seeking advice and consolation the monster, Wally, turns to his friends; a group of ghouls and terrors. Look for it this summer. We'll have the trailer in our film's gallery.

3rd Shift update
We have completed shooting in Carrollton, Ga and will soon wrap shooting of 3rd Shift. Despite our extended stay, the city of Carrollton was more than generous to our cause and our deepest thanks go out to them.

Metal Gear website
Metal Gear Solid: Acquiescence will be online soon at www.mgsacquiescence.com, where you'll be able to view the entire film and receive your own copy with a donation to the organization, Support Southern Cinema. Thanks to everyone who supported the film and we hope you enjoy it.

Metal Gear Solid: Acquiescence has just received official selection at the DragonCon film festival. Hope to see you all there.

3rd Shift
As of last weekend we began production on the short film, 3rd Shift. Principal photography will take place in Carrollton Georgia. The city has been gracious enough to accommodate our team in this endeavor and we recommend them to anyone looking to shoot in Georgia. We are slated to wrap by the end of the year.

Metal Gear Solid
Our premiere for the short film, Metal Gear Solid: Acquiescence, will be on August 20th at 9pm and 10pm. The Plaza Theatre in downtown Atlanta on Ponce de Leon has agreed to two showings. If you want to watch it twice, just stay for a second viewing, if you can't make the 9 o'clock, then you're covered for 10.
